The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Asia. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries. 

This unique assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the actual track record and standing of a company, which allows Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry. 

“This year was especially difficult,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “Despite the global economic situation, there were many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products that we had a difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists. SweetCircles.com shows great promise therefore deserves to be among the Finalists. Now we’re faced with the difficult task of selecting the Winners of the Top 100 Asia Award. 

Finalists for the award are selected based upon their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. During the several months leading up to the announcement, hundreds of companies in the mobile, security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech, and clean tech industries sent in their submissions to qualify for the award. 

Past award winners include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, and YouTube.

We have just added SweetCircles.com’s in-built bookmarking widget for sharing and bookmarking your blog posts. By using the widget you can easily share your blog posts with your friends through Facebook, Orkut, Yahoo! Buzz, Digg, Twitter, StumbleUpon or directly mail them your blog posts. It helps to increase your blog’s readership and wide spread your blogs reach to more people.

By default the bookmark widget will be displayed below each of your post title and at the end of the post. If you are not interested in showing and sharing your posts you can disable the widgets by clicking on the “Social Bookmarking tool settings” option on the admin ‘Preferences‘ tab.

The new Import Blog feature helps you import your Blogger.com or Wordpress.com blog to SweetCircles.com blog. The whole process is made simple, by using the “Import Blog” option from your ‘Preferences’ admin panel. Just choose the Blogging platform and upload the Blogger or Wordpress blog’s  ‘.xml’ file and our system will automagically import the whole blog posts along with the comments, tags in your Blogger or Wordpress blog in a jiffy.

We have completely revamped the look and feel of the admin and internal pages with a more pleasing and appealing colors. We have also optimized the entire site to load faster even in slower internet connections.
